"Decatur Cooperative Ministry has a transitional housing program that houses families in eight homes throughout DeKalb County. Several years ago, two of the older houses used by the program were in need of renovations and repairs.
HomeAid Atlanta and its partners upgraded the houses, made them more energy efficient, and renovated the space to be much more functional and family-friendly. Since then, six families have lived in these houses and taken their first steps to transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency."
