Atlanta, GA – January 30, 2025 – Building industry nonprofit HomeAid Georgia welcomed new executive board members on January 23 at the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s Annual Installation of Officers at the Omni Hotel at the Battery. In 2024, HomeAid Atlanta expanded its scope becoming HomeAid Georgia to better serve the needs of the entire state. The newly installed officers were integral to this transition. All are longtime HomeAid supporters who understood the need for expansion to serve the entire state, helping facilitate the process.
HomeAid Georgia’s 2025-2026 President, Jonathan White of Meritage Homes, has been a HomeAid board member since 2020. White and the Meritage Homes team have participated in multiple Care Days, and through HomeAid’s annual Essentials Drive and golf tournament. Recently they have been busy with HomeAid’s new construction project at Gigi’s House in Clayton County. When complete, the new building will provide space for 20 teenage girls to go to school, meet with counselors, and staff offices. “We’re just proud to be a part of this effort to help these teenage girls come back from the trauma of human trafficking,” said White.
2025-2026 HomeAid Georgia Vice President, Carol Morgan of Denim Marketing, has been regularly volunteering with HomeAid for more than 16 years, at HomeAid Care Days, the annual Essentials Drive, and more. "I support HomeAid’s work to build a future without homelessness because everyone should have a roof over their head and so many of people facing homelessness are women and children. One of the best things about volunteering with HomeAid and serving on the board is being a part of an organization that actually makes a difference. I encourage people to support HomeAid because everyone deserves a second chance and a warm place to sleep at night."
HomeAid Georgia 2025-2026 Treasurer, Tom Bowers, Lennar Atlanta Division President, joined the HomeAid board in 2021 and has been involved in all areas of HomeAid’s work since then. In 2023, Tom and the Lennar team partnered with HomeAid to renovate a home to become Gwinnett County's first-ever Homeowner Resource Center with Gwinnett Housing Corporation. "I am truly grateful for our partnership with HomeAid Atlanta that provided us with the opportunity to work on this unique project. It's nothing short of remarkable to know that this completed facility will provide Gwinnett residents the opportunity to obtain the coveted dream of home ownership,” said Bowers. Most recently, Bowers and Lennar Atlanta partnered with HomeAid to add nine affordable units for veterans and their families at Veterans Empowerment Organization.
Longtime HomeAid supporter Ronnie Cline, Taylor Morrison Atlanta Division VP of Construction, serves as HomeAid Georgia’s Secretary for 2025-2026. Cline has led multiple HomeAid construction projects and participated in many HomeAid Care Days since 2015. In 2024, Ronnie was instrumental in getting two major projects started. Additionally, Ronnie helped one of HomeAid Georgia’s nonprofit partners with construction questions and small projects. “He’s constantly asking what else he can do to support our mission. Ronnie does so much that I’m sure his colleagues wonder if he works for HomeAid,” said HomeAid Georgia Executive Director Mandy Crater.
